Cousins

Calder and Wren flew in from Chicago (with their mother of course) and were here for 2 weeks. Last time Logan saw them was over a year ago. But they got along good. 

Christmas 2012

Logan has no clue what makes December 25th different from any other day. He also has no idea that under the wrapping paper, is really cool stuff! He did not open one present himself this year and he must have received about a billion presents. 

On Christmas eve we went to my moms house. We did presents and dinner. Logan just wanted to play with toys. The ones my mom already had. He had no interest in the presents under the tree at all.

He just wanted to play.

Santa came to our house! 

Again. he had no clue what a present was and why he must open it. He could not have cared less about the presents.

"Who needs mistletoe when your this cute?"

I went to NYC for a ladies night to see Annie on broadway.  The boys survived a weekend without me just fine :)

Logan LOVES to throw balls down the stairs. You should see his current fat lip...

Logan, 17m!

Little man is 17 months old! He is sooooo fun and amazing. He loves to make us and himself laugh. He can tell us his needs in fairly clear ways now, making life a bit easier. He is so fun of FUN and he is a big ball of energy that goes and goes and goes. He is cute and silly and an all around good natured boy. Except when hes teething... but at least hes cute still!

Mastered skills that most can do-
Uses six words regularly: Bah (ball, block), Uh (up), No (not sure he uses it right all the time), Dada, Eye Key (hi kitty), Eye go (hi dog) and he is now getting the hang of more and occasionally says mine. He also only says mama when hes crying but he is usually saying dada still.
Enjoys pretend games: Maybe? Im guessing so as he uses his imagination all day long and enjoys finding ways to make himself laugh by acting silly.
Likes riding toys: yes, but he likes to be pushed

Emerging skills that half the kids can do-
feeds doll: he doesnt give a crap about his doll. But he sticks his paci in daddys mouth and daddys belly button... (ew?)
Speaks more clearly: sometimes, when he isnt trying to overdo it you can understand what comes out of his mouth.
Throws ball underhand: i think so... he throws balls all over and any which way he can

Advance skills that few can do-
Dances to music: oh yes. He has some nice moves. He laughs at himself dancing too so at least he doesnt take himself seriously.
Sorts toys by color, shape or size: they all get dumped on the floor equally... But he has a ball pit and my mom has noticed on a few occasions that he pulls out mostly blue balls to play with.
Kicks ball forward: nope
