Lets just write.

I have a zit that is making my whole nose red. Grrr
Snickers ate a dish of cat food this morning. And tried again after he came out of his room in the basement.
The cat now sleeps with me under the covers almost everynight.
I can't wait to get our new tv. The first movie I will watch on it is High School Musical 3. Don't laugh.
I started working out on my eliptical again. And 2 days later see no change in my flappy thighs. I need instant gratification. /sigh
I have a million boxes to unpack and would like a vacation week so I can finish.
I made our first mortgage payment at the bank today.
I need to get me and Matt on vitamins. The vitamins I should put him on, are 50 bucks a month. Thats not happening.
I really want to get better with my sewing machine but have nothing to make.
I really wish the things that have been the hardest for me, could be easier to talk about.

Next on the list

is the livingroom. Im looking everywhere for dar brown couches that I like. No luck yet. Matt stripped the wallpaper off the walls. He started painting the trim and did one small wall with primer. We need to paint the ceiling and finish the primer. I have to pick out the color so we can paint the walls. Im looking for paterns with red and brown and finding nothing. maybe i'll make something. Yeah right.
We are going to the Home Show this weekend to check it out. Last year we went looking for realtors and loans. This year, we have the house. The only thing we took away from the Home Show was that we wanted a pellit stove. Now that we have a fireplace, we want a fireplace insert for it. We also need to look at how to get better grass. Our backyard is a lot of shade and we need to find stuff that will grown in mostly shade.
Im enjoying the fact that my bedroom is done. Except that I have 2 broken shades up and one window is being covered by a table cloth. And I have to put up my curtains but the shade situations tells me to wait. Matt wont let me post pictures until its done. And he already started another room. Grr.

Bedroom number 1 is done

3 weeks to the date of move in, my bedroom will be done. The walls and trim and are done and the closet is done. Furnature comes on wednesday and we will be all done. Im so excited. It looks so good. I'll post a picture wednesday.
Next! Tomarrow we start ripping down wallpaper in the living room. matt has to put up curtain rods in the bedroom first and then we plan on ripping up wallpaper. I haven't found a couch yet, but we want a couch, loveseat and chair. I want a dark brown color. Preferable a chocolate brown. Walls will be a light brown and we will use reds to accent. Hopefully it will come out okay. We are going to go ahead and get it ready. I need to find a focus. I could use a pillow to work with and base colors off of if I find one I like. I'll go shopping this week and see what I can find. I also need to find decorations for the bedroom and living room.
Im also getting my dinning room set on wednesday. The dinning room is white with hardwood floors. There is a big rug the same color as the carpet in there for now. We are just going to throw the table and hutch in there for now. Its functional the way it is. Ugly, but functional. We will refinish the floor and paint the room. We are in no hurry for it but, it will be done sometime this year.
And this summer I want to paint the shutters. I have a light blue house and the siding is newer. Im thinking white or tan. thats my summer project.
Today we also brought all boxes downstairs. All clothes are also downstairs and i've done tons of laundry. Bryan organized the second bedroom and its not crammed anymore with usless stuff. It looks good. It all looks good. I love my house.

Who needs a carpet ripped up?

Cause if you do, I have a beagle who is very good at it. Brand new carpet. Brand new and we already have a huge mess. Not too huge i guess. It is between the basement stairs and the door. You can't see it unless you open the basement door. That doesn't make it any better. Not worse though. We tried keeping the dog in the kitchen with baby gates. After day one we learned he was jumping the gate. So we put him downstairs. He got the carpet a little bit so the next day we put up the gate. That worked. Till today when he knocked the gate over and destroyed it. No accedents in the house for the first time today though. I want a crate. I wamt to know my stuff is not getting ruined. Matt refuses to crate him now. Help me.
We made so much progress tonight on the bedroom. My mom and Bryan cam,e over at 6 and we worked till 10:15. My mom primed the rest of the closet and then started painting it white. By the end of night, she had done all the trim and put on 2 coats of white. It is done. My closet is not a green moldy mess. Its a nice clean white. The window and floor trim got the second coat tonight and all we have to do are touch ups. We did one round of trim with green on the walls and one coat of greem on all the walls and a second in some places. We just need a second coat of green trim and the rest of the second coat of green on the walls and maybe 3rd in some spots.
We need to find a light piece for the fan. It has no light now, but Bryan already ran the electrical into it so we ould add a light kit. We need to clean it and i might go ahead and paint the fan blades sunday. The already painted them white. Might as well paint them brown. And we need to clean the windows and doors and my mom is coming over with the carpet cleaner before we get the furnature in. I can't wait till wednessday night when im laying in bed. And next weekend when we start stripping wallpaper in the living room.

Almost done with the bedroom

Goodness I never want to paint again. And I've barely begun. Room 1 of the house is almost done. I recieved the comforter set on monday and bought paint on tuesday. Would have bought it monday but someone had to shovel the driveway. That someone was me because Matt thinks the mortgage is importent. My mommy came to help me and Matt got there in time to finish the last square inch. Tonight Matt put the second coat of primer on the closet so we can paint it tomarrow. My mom cleaned windows and helped paint trim. Bryan taped windows and helped paint trim. And I painted the trim. Sounds like fun? And we get to do a second coat because they were gross. The color wasn't too different. It went from a dark baige to a lighter baige. It looks cleaner and updated though. I will take pictures in the light tomarrow and learn how to post some in progress pictures. I can't wait till we get furnature on wednessday and i can put my comforter on it and enjoy my room being done. And as soon as i breath that in, we are stripping wallpaper again! Great. We are doing the living roomnext because we would like a place for people to chill in when they come over. We can't invite everyone into the bedroom to watch tv. Its only a queen size bed and Im sure snickers will take up most of it.
We plan to do a light brown on the walls with red accents. We are doing red because of the brick from the back of the fire place. So, we will clean the brick and someone use it. And for some reason I really want a chocolate brown couch. Don't know why, I just do. We have not found furnature for the living room yet. We will browse this saturday when we go clothes shopping. For Matt. He asked me if we could go clothes shopping for him. I better get something out of this too. I think he wants a more profesional look for work. Now that he will have an impact on a company, he wants to look good. Cutting the fro he was groing helped his image. Now if he would shave his 10 uneven randome placed facial hairs we might make progress. And a few more showers. To his sister, was one bathroom enough in the house or should there have been 2? And if there were 2, do you think Matt would still prefer to be filthy? Its gross. Want to know why we have no kids yet? Nevermind. Anyways the house is coming alone and no one is invited over till we have a place to sit. Right now I am sitting on thje airmattress with a keybored on my lap. The computer moniter is on top of a litter box so that it is not on the floor and easier to see. Mymouse is on a different box. The laptop is upside down somewhere on the floor. I need furnature.

we have no furnature.

Yet. We have nothing at all for a living room. And nothing at all for a bedroom or dinning room.
We bought a dinning room table and chairs. A matching hutch. A mattress. And a bedroom set. My mom wanted to give me something special for my wedding that I wanted. I choose an IOU present. I wanted a nice comforter set for my bedroom. But, I did not own my own mattress and wanted to wait till we bought a house since we knew it was coming sooner rather than later. I love it! We will paint the walls the green color. The trip will b the ivory. The carpets are an off white / ivory color. We are getting the valences and making brown curtains. I am getting 2 of the extra pillows.
The walls in the bedroom are ready to be spackled and sanded once more. And hopefully by sunday we will have primer on the walls and a ceiling painted. I have to pick out the trim and walls but need to wait for the comforter set to come in.
It took me an hour to boil water last night. I need to figure out how my stove works.
My cat freaks out everytime the water heater turns on.
I miss my dog and want him here. but it has been nice getting things done and I'd really like to move more things around before he comes home this weekend.
I think im done for now and in need of ice cream.

Never ever ever wallpaper! EVER!

Wallpaper sucks! And of ypou don't prep and prome the walls, it sucks even more. Last night, Matt and Bryan stripped most of the wallpaper in the bedroom. 3 out of 4 walls were somewhat easy. As in the paper came off the wall. We also had not used water yet. They were using razors and knives. We are trying hard not to destroy the new carpets. One wall would just not peel. the whole thing required a very sharp razor, and eventually water. At this point tonight, the walls are wallpaper and glue free. We need to sand down the wall and then we can paint! Now I need to find a comforter and sheet set we like so we can pick out a color for the walls.
These people were not cleaning fanatics. I may not be either but, some things should not be gross. like the shower. It was DISGUSTING. My mother has spent a total 5 hours in my shower alone. She scrubbed every tile. I think when they grouted the shower, they got it all over the walls. As of yesterday, I would not have taken a bath in my tub. And today, I would lick the bottem. Not really. But it is beautiful and came clean so nicely. I am so thankfull that my mother did what she did. It was amazing and I wish I had better before and after pictures.
