Its a start

Well, where do I begin on my very first blog???

Matt and I just may be buying our first house. I kept seeing it on Masslive but it only had 2 bedrooms. We need at least 3 because we do plan on having a family. My mom bought a 2 bedroom house and added on, so I took that into consideration. I figured it wouldn't hurt to see it. Its a small ranch on 1 acre of land on a nice st. So, I took my dad and saw it in the morning. WOW. Its not my dream home, but it has potential. And its not a fixer upper. We can easily add onto it to make more rooms. The bathroom has a blue tub, but that WILL get replaced sometime in the first few years. The living room has a fireplace and picture window. Lots of closet's. Kitchen is not big, but not too small. Black fridge which is actually nice. BLUE contertops. YUCK. That will be the first thing to go. And it has a family room with a picture window in front and back. We can make half into the dining room so the table isn't in the kitchen. It has a long garage with a garage door faming the backyard also. The driveway has room for cars to park side by side, but only about 4 cars total. The back yard is very open and flat. It has some trees, but plenty or room to play soccor or baseball. It was awsome. Snickers would have a blast out there.

After I saw it, I told Matt about it. To humer me, he said he'd go see it. He had no intentions of liking it. Didn't want to like it cause he didn't plan on getting a house till spring of 09. I made an appointment for later that day for Matt and my mom and Bryan to see. Matt loved it. Poor guy was so confused. he was cought off guard. Everyone loved it. It doesn't need any major repairs or new things right away that we know of yet.

The realitor, Phill, said there was an offer on it already that had not gone through yet. We didn't want to make an offer until we had a pre approval. So, we were going to go to the bank and get that stuff done either way. I called Phill the next day and got no answer. I saw the house was not on masslive or the his website. I figured the offer went through. Oh well. We moved on and figured we'd be looking soon anyway. I got a call last monday from Phill saying that that offer did not go through. WHAT! So I said we were interested and wanted to get pre approved for it and then make an offer. He was fine with that. So Matt and I went to the bank on Christmas eve to apply for a mortgage. We haven't heard back yet, but Phill called me today. He called to see if we heard from the bank. And that means the house is still for sale. We are so excited! Hopefully we will know by monday and make an offer on new years day when matt comes back from his trip.

Thats it for now. Wish us luck!
