The month of January

We had an amazing Christmas and got so many awesome things. I wanted clothes in sizes 6-9 or 9months and up. I figured, I would need it soon enough but didn't realize I would be putting away the 6 month stuff 2 days after christmas. That would explain why I spent all night christmas eve nursing and not sleeping. So mr man is wearing 6-9 clothes. Gerber is too small, so is gerber 12 month onsies. Carters snap pjs fit, but zip up pjs are way to big. Some outfits fit awesome, some are big. The cloth butts make pjs harder at night from extra stuffing them but, whatever. We also moved into out new house the week before christmas. That is around the same time mr man started the I NEEEEEEEEEED YOU stage. He is okay in the morning playing, but when hes tired or later in the day, he wants to be entertained.
Its not even that he wants to be held or cuddled, he just wants you to play with him. So we play, read, play, play and play. I can still stick him in the bouncy seat while I shower as long as I sing or talk to him and stick my head out every 2 mins. I try during naps but I have unpacking and cleaning still during these naps.
Today was the first day of fake crying. By fake crying, I dont mean crying for no reason. I mean, fake as ever and funny as heck crying. I was going to the bathroom for 2 seconds and I could tell it was fake just by the tone. Silly boy. The fake coughing as been going on for a while too. Usually, he knows he can get our attention by blowing raspberries. Or screatching. Or squealing.
Or saying Hi. He has said Hi twice. He also says mom but only when hes crying and he has said I love you. Well, the I love you was more of a noise he made that sounded like i love you and the moms arent on purpose. And the hi is probably not real either. But its funny.
He likes to roll all over. But when he doesnt want to roll, he wants to be on his feet. If you hold his hands, he can move his legs to walk. He cant really sit up on his own yet. He can sit if you hold his legs but if your not holding his legs down, he falls over once he wiggles a bit.
We eat food. Well, we try to eat food but it usually ends in a dog getting fed. Logan liked butternut squash a few times but didn't want it others. Rice is a hit or miss. I have it flavored too. Sometimes he wants it and it cant come fast enough, other times, nope. He liked the pears though. He ate the carrots the first time but made the funny faces. Second time, nope. He likes his mum mums though. I have green beans ready to go after a few more carrot rounds. He also likes his sippy. Well, he plays with it. He doesn't know how to get the watered down apple juice out of it yet. He also likes the little hug's bottles and lick's them out after Matt drinks it. He also liked other bottles that i have no documentation of.
We are starting to use the carriers more when out and about and sitting in the shopping cart. He loves going places and seeing his surroundings.
He has yet to sleep through the night.  I usually put him to bed at 9ish (he takes an evening nap around 5 or 6 despite every effort to not sleep). I go to bed around 11-12ish (bad, i know) and change him into his night diaper and sleep sack and feed him. He usually wakes up around 2 or 3 and then again around 5 or 6 and then again around 7:30 when Matt leaves. Sometimes he goes back to sleep till 9 or 10 and others he wakes up and takes a morning nap around 9 or 10. Then he naps in the afternoon 1:30ish-3:30-4ish and the again around 6 for a bit. I try to wake him by 7pm. He may not sleep through, but he goes right back to bed. Hes still in the PnP net to the bed cause he does keep getting up still. Ive been trying to put the paci back in his mouth but he usually wants to eat. He occasionally lands in the bed but hes usually fine in his PnP. His room is on the first to paint list. As soon as its done, we will work on getting Logan into his room.
We had thrush between thanksgiving and christmas and I am currently taking antibiotics for mastitis. Logan is cute and smiley still. He may have teeth very soon cause hes fussy and chomps on his fingers all day long when a teether is not in his hands.

mmmm Food!

MMM Yummy! Ill eat anything! like your phone! I cant fathom letting my phone go in his mouth after Anderson Cooper had to prove that your phone is the dirtiest thing ever.

Butternut squash! mmm. This was the first food beside rice cereal.

And our latest fun, Carrots. And before anyone tells me what they come out like, I experienced it today. Luckily, it was the last diaper before I planned to wash diapers. I also ate a good amount of these carrots when I made them. I licked the bowl and spoon. mmm

He didn't think they were very mmmm And, I got him down to a diaper (orange diaper by coincidence) and put him in front of the fireplace as to keep him warm and clothes from stains.

What the heck is this!

What are you putting in my mouth lady?!? (my mom was feeding him)

I don't know about this stuff

 Yuck

Why do you keep doing that?

why are you letting her do this mom?

Your having too much fun lady

I dont know about this, I think Im done

There was no trace of food anywhere at all. These things save me from lots of clean ups.

Taking my own pictures

My son can not sit on his own, nor does he have a predictable nap (he sleeps sometime in the morning unless he sleeps late and he sleeps sometime in the afternoon but it depends on his morning nap. He is always in bed in the evening and sleeps all night with a few quick feeds so hes a good sleeper, just not a predictable one, yet) and he can smile but if hes tired or bored, he doesnt. So how do you schedule pictures that will cost a million dollars when you cant predict what your child will be like during that one hour block of time? I took my own. After 12 pictures, Logan fell asleep. Point proven as to why I did not want to pay. I got some good shots that allowed me to use as xmas cards and put on some grandparents mugs. We tried some xmas themed ones when he woke up from the nap but he just didn't cooperate. And what 4 month old can really cooperate?

how about a post from the holidays?

We bought a house on dec 9 or 12 depending on if you go by the paperwork or the real day. The next weekend was spent packing, tree / yard cleaning and a few small car loads of stuff transported. The next weekend was spent with a moving truck and unpacking essentials. Next weekend was xmas. Next was new years and get out old house as ready as possible to sell. Old house went on the market Jan 3 or 4th, whatever number she picked. We've been busy! Old house had 2 different showings, both single guys and that's a good demographic for that house. One of them is interested in making an offer so we shall see if that comes about. would be nice to have a quick sale cause then we get a fence for the 4 legged kids. Anyone want a tiny 2 bedroom home with old crap and new paint?

Logan is 5 months now!

Mastered skills most can do:
Distinguish between bold colors- uh... he wants EVERYTHING so I dont know.
Plays with hands and feet - he wants to play with EVERYTHING so, yes

Emerging skills, half the kids can do:
Recognize own name - not really and we say it a lot. But he looks when he hears something so its hard to really tell
Turns toward new sounds - yes
Rolls over in both directions - oh yes

advanced skills a few kids can do:
Sits momentarily without support - he can but I think the cloth diapers make it harder for him to lean forward in the front to get a good balance
Mouths objects - EVERYTHING goes in the mouth for a taste and a re-taste
Separation anxiety may begin - at times, he only wants mom or dad
