we have no furnature.

Yet. We have nothing at all for a living room. And nothing at all for a bedroom or dinning room.
We bought a dinning room table and chairs. A matching hutch. A mattress. And a bedroom set. My mom wanted to give me something special for my wedding that I wanted. I choose an IOU present. I wanted a nice comforter set for my bedroom. But, I did not own my own mattress and wanted to wait till we bought a house since we knew it was coming sooner rather than later. I love it! We will paint the walls the green color. The trip will b the ivory. The carpets are an off white / ivory color. We are getting the valences and making brown curtains. I am getting 2 of the extra pillows.
The walls in the bedroom are ready to be spackled and sanded once more. And hopefully by sunday we will have primer on the walls and a ceiling painted. I have to pick out the trim and walls but need to wait for the comforter set to come in.
It took me an hour to boil water last night. I need to figure out how my stove works.
My cat freaks out everytime the water heater turns on.
I miss my dog and want him here. but it has been nice getting things done and I'd really like to move more things around before he comes home this weekend.
I think im done for now and in need of ice cream.

Never ever ever wallpaper! EVER!

Wallpaper sucks! And of ypou don't prep and prome the walls, it sucks even more. Last night, Matt and Bryan stripped most of the wallpaper in the bedroom. 3 out of 4 walls were somewhat easy. As in the paper came off the wall. We also had not used water yet. They were using razors and knives. We are trying hard not to destroy the new carpets. One wall would just not peel. the whole thing required a very sharp razor, and eventually water. At this point tonight, the walls are wallpaper and glue free. We need to sand down the wall and then we can paint! Now I need to find a comforter and sheet set we like so we can pick out a color for the walls.
These people were not cleaning fanatics. I may not be either but, some things should not be gross. like the shower. It was DISGUSTING. My mother has spent a total 5 hours in my shower alone. She scrubbed every tile. I think when they grouted the shower, they got it all over the walls. As of yesterday, I would not have taken a bath in my tub. And today, I would lick the bottem. Not really. But it is beautiful and came clean so nicely. I am so thankfull that my mother did what she did. It was amazing and I wish I had better before and after pictures.

Moved in!

We spent tuesday packing and loading up a truck. My mom, Bryan, Grammy, Grandpa, and Eric helped Matt and I run as fast as we could out of that house. Truck was loaded and ready to go that night.
Wednessday morning started early. We had no comps or tvs tot keep us up late the night before. We loaded breakables into my car, cleaned a bit, showered, loaded more stuff up into the truck and car and headed to the lawers office. We signed a bunch of papers and got our key! We were ready to go to our house where we had people waiting for us! Easy right? Too easy?? Oh yes.
We needed a bank check. So, we headed to one bank to get money. Then headed to the next bank to get money. Then we had to drive one town over to the next bank and get money and our check. They say not to move money around before you close, so we didn't. We met my mom and gave her the key. Matt went with my mom and family back to the house to drop of the key. Then the boys went to get the truck while my gram and mom cleaned. I headed to the lawyers to bring the check. Finally I can head home!
I was greated with ballons on my lamp post! I had my mom and grammy cleaning my kitchen, where they stayed and cleaned all day long. My aunt was there for a bit too. Then the boys came and unloaded the truck into the front room. They went so fast! We ordered pizza before they started and they were done a little after the pizza came. After we ate, the boys brought boxes to where they went and somehow kept themselves busy with tasks. The women cleaned. My mom and Grandma cleaned my whole kitched from top to bottem. They also unloaded boxes and unpacked all my food and gadgets. It was so helpful.
Then Matt and I ran to walmart for a bunch of stuff and a snow shovel. They had no snow shovels!! I know the seasons almost over but, what if someone broke theirs and needed a new one??? Home depot had some though. We came home and went right to bed.
Today, I woke up and got ready for work. I ran the tub real quick to wet my hair and got ready. I ran downstairs to get my clothes from the dryer and the floor was soking wet. Puddles. Crap! So I told my handy man of a husband and he shrugged and walked away. Great. I worked today when he unloaded more boxes and took care of importent stuff. He changed the locks and did some much needed small things. I came home and my mom and Bryan came shortly after. Bryan fixed the leak and put up my new shower head. :P And right now Im stealing internet off the neighbor cause the comcast guy didn't run any wires
Comcast came. He spliced a wire going to one room cause he didn't put it there and we were only paying for one room. He hooked up the one tv. He ran the phone and got thar hooked up. And I dont know what he did with the internet. He turned it on I think. But didn't run any wires. Thanks.
AHHHH all this from our first full day as home owners.
/sigh
This is going to be a big project.

Tonight and tomarrow are busy days!

Today I am packing up the rest our stuff. We are more done than not, so thats good! We can hear our echos upstairs! The poor cat is so confused as to whats going on. Snickers has been with my in laws for a few days cause my FIL stole him sooner than we intended. He will stay there till sometime next week. I am going to do the final walk through today and then tonight we are loading a truck. Matt is bringing a moving truck home from work with him today and my mom and brother and brothers friend are going to help us fill it up tonight. Matt and I will go tomarrow to sign millions of papers and get the keys at 11. We hope to be done as early as possible because the electric company thinks stressing me out is funny. They are coming between 12 -2:30 tomarrow. I told them we might not even be there and the had to come in to read the meter. They are coming anyways. So, I have to be at the house ASAP tomarrow after we get the keys. So, I will drop Matt off at my moms work and run to the house with my precious moments and cleaning supplies. I will clean while I wait and then unpack a truck! We will probly have to come back and get a few more things but, we should have most done tomarrow. I already know I don't want to drive out to this house if i don't have to. Its so out of the way of everything!

You'd think I had an update

But I have no new information at all. This house buying crap is no fun... at all. I hope to only have to do this a max of one more time. And that would only happen if it was worth it in 20 years. But, I'd rather not and we don't plan on it.
The realestate dude came home today from a camping trip. Yes a camping trip in the winter. Crazy dude. And when I asked if the tent was insulated, he told me he doesn't use a tent. He just bings a tarp and enjoys the outdoors. Ill stick to summer camping myself
So, we called him last night and told him that he needs to get a piece of paper he has, to be signed by the sellers and brought to the bank. He needs to make sure the garage door is patched up and he needs to call the lawyer and demand our closing date. Or at least I would like him to demand a closing date :P The good news is, we locked in our loan rate. We knew it might go down, but only by a quarter of a percent. That would still stink but! It went up! So, we did good by locking in.
As soon as we close, we have to get our bedroom furnature. That includes a matress so we can sleep. We picked it out already so we just need to buy it. We need to strip the walls in the bedroom cause they have wallpaper and thats just dumb. We need to paint it. We need new counters and a floor in the kitchen cause the blue sucks. Blue doesn't go with green and yellow. And we need to take the wallpaper of those walls and paint em. No other rooms have wallpaper. Then we need to paint the bathroom. And we need to find living room furnature cause we have none too. And then paint that. I have no clue what color for the living room. And then we need to paint the dinning area and second bedroom and hallway. And then in 10 years, we need to add on a third and maybe 4th room and most likely a second bathroom. That is the plan anyway. Lets see how far we deviate from it.
Anywho... My next post had better have a date in it.
