lip repair

This day was highly dreaded by Matt and I. Our daughter was going to be handed off and returned with a different look to her. I was trusting someone to alter my child. This was also a longer surgery than before. The only thing we were excited about, was getting rid of the device. We had the same time frame as before and arrived to Boston at 5:30am. We enjoyed some smiles and cute faces before handing Emelia off.

When we were told to go back to recovery, this is what we saw. She was very swollen and just didnt look like my Emelia. It did take some time to get used too. The poor girl couldnt properly cry like she used to and because of the breathing tube, she sounded horrible. The shaped her nose, put in nose stents and did her lip repair. She did look really good for post op, but they did change the way my daughter since day 1. It takes a while to get used too, no matter how necessary it is.

Like last time, she spent most of the time asleep.
