To Disney by train

If you ask me if taking a toddler and baby on a 30hr train ride is a good idea, I will tell you no, no it is not. But I would do it again and it went better than I expected.

Matt, Logan, Emelia, my dad and I arrived at 6:30am for our 7:30 train. Logan was in an awesome mood, thank goodness. We grabbed some breakfast and headed south. We had seats for the first 5 hours until New York.

We had to take our luggage on the train when we sat coach.. As soon as we got to New York, we used our 40 minute layover to check our bags. Except as soon as we got to checked baggage, they told us we had to be there an hour before departure. We didnt have an hour. He told us it wasnt his problem. So, knowing we had to get on our train or we wouldnt be going on a trip we payed for, we grabbed our stuff and headed for the train. We may have been pissed because traveling with 2 kids and enough stuff for 30 people was a lot of luggage and car seats and strollers and a blow up bed. Some random dad left his family to help us on our train. "I remember when we did this when our kids were younger". Thanks dude! we did appreciate the help from everyone who was not an Amtrak employee ("look for red hats, they will help you!"  bullshit.) We somehoe got onto the train and were trying to figure out what to do with our crap. We had Logans car seat for the cab rides, the stroller, 2 huge suitcases, a large duffle bad and 3 smaller duffle bags along with 3 backpacks and my purse. Our room attendant came up to us laughing and said "You cant cram all that into those rooms. What are you going to do?" and my husband was clearly pissed already so that statement didnt help. Amtrak didnt give us enough time to check bags and its our fault? "What are YOU going to do?" This guy was no help at all whatsoever. We shoved our stuff into rooms and survived. I still need to write a letter. We later learned that there was a lot he could have done but he did not.

fine dinning

Logan actually took a nap for an hour. He would have gone longer but the not nice attendants walky talky went off while he was walking by and woke Logan up. That guys sucked.

The farther south, the more snow! huh?

I had to wash dishes many times on the train.
