Snickers was not acting very well for a while and we had to bring him in for fluids and some other tests. He started doing better and got back to his normal sick self. But, Snickers should not be very active per his heart condition and poor Simon was not getting the exercise he should due to his buddy being out of commission. Matt had wanted a lab for a while and I hate the idea of a puppy but with cats and kids, its easiest to get a puppy acclimated to them than an older dog. So after a month or 2 of seriously going back and forth, it made sense to get goby now. We knew we would replace Snickers when he went, but we didnt want a puppy and a newborn. So while we had 7 months till baby 3 was due, we got a 10w old puppy! We started listing off names to Logan and Goby was a name Logan agreed on. He is one of his tv show characters. We took Goby to Petco on the way home for some quick food and toys. He was amazing in his crate at night from day 1. He came in with the other dogs when called from outside, except he could get through the fence slats (until about 5 months old!). He was a puppy and acted like it, but he was a good boy and we were excited for the bigger boy he would become. Emelia loves him and he has almost become her dog the way Simon is Logans.
